Good Friday would not be the same without doing the Stations of The Cross. In Tara Hill we had our very own re-enactment of the Stations on the hill for the last ten years. Not to be outdone here in Brasilia I went with our school to a Brazilian version of The Stations. We had our own Passion Service at 11 am and at 2 pm set out by bus to the countryside around the city of Sobradinho, north of Brasilia. Instead of a hundred or so that we had in Tara Hill, here we had about 800 police and about 150,000 people. Thank God it did not rain. Here are some pictures, unfortunately we were too far away to take pictures of the re-enactment of The Crucifixion, but it was special. Then as only Brazilian’s can do, the Passion Enactment ended with FIREWORKS. Enjoy!
