Our Good Friday service started at 4pm in the hall next to the church of Santa Rita and continued with the "real" stations of the cross through the streets of Castanheira. The Crucifixion scene took place in the parish hall next to the main church of Santo Antonio and then the service ended in the church at 715pm. The "Joven" {Youth Club} provided the character acting for the Way of The Cross.

After the opening prayer and readings of Good Friday the Gospel Narrative was acted out. Here Jesus is arrested in The Garden.
And so Jesus carrying his cross leads us on the way of the cross.
It had rained an hour before hand but thankfully not for long.
