The Parish Hall was ready to fall so we set about a new project to dismantle the 18 year old wooden structure and replace it with a concrete structure. The hall itself is a very simple structure. All it is, is upright columns and a roof. No walls needed as all is needed here is shelter from the rain and the sun and it is important that it is open to the elements to allow for a breeze under the roof.
The concrete pillars are put into place.
The bare structure as seen from the main dirt road.
The last asbestos sheet goes on. No fear of asbestos here!
The first part of the finished product, kitchen, bar, toilets, stage and entrance has still to be built. But it is enough to have a festa. More photos to come on the Festa.
