Views of Castanheira & Igreja Santo Antônio Dec 2006 No. 3 of 3

Here are more views [3] of my new parish:

This is the inner yard with its very exotic coconut trees. The ladder is for climbing up to collect fresh coconuts. Put the coconut in the fridge for a few days and then open it with a huge knife and use a straw to drink very fresh and cold "Agua de Coco". ~ Maravilhoso ~ That is my little Uno in the shade of another fruit tree similar to apples. On the left is the old wooden priest's house and on the right is the church with our apartment upstairs. The old house is now used for Catechism classes and meetings.

This is Maria our house keeper preparing lunch in the parish kitchen . This was taken during the Parish Assembly [pictures later]

The Parish Vegetable and Fruit Garden. Nothing only the freshest fruits and vegetables for the Padre!!! In fact they have a saying here when they have eaten a good meal, "Hoje comi que nem um padre" "Today I have eaten like a priest!"

Rice on the boil in the Parish Kitchen.

My work colleagues: [Left to Right]; Derek [Parish Priest] and the Three Parish sisters; Rose, Ivone, Casilda [Mother Superior] Taken in the sisters kitchen.
