Santo Antônio is a new community of about 12 families which has enough money to build the frame of a shed and a roof and a bit of a wall. This shed will be the church and the parish hall until better times. As you see it is built in a clearing in the forest. While saying Mass I spend half my time keeping the insect life off the chalice. The sounds of the forest can sometimes be as loud as the hymn singing.
