The main fundraising activity here is a "FESTA" where there is a "Churrasco / Barbecue" along with a bar, dancing and games. Here is the eating area being prepared to get a new roof as the original palm leaf roof is dismantled. Beside it is the "Churrascos / Barbecues" {building with chimneys} , each one of them is about 6 foot long and this building has them on the other side also, 14 in all. For our FESTA in September about a dozen animals will be barbecued.
"Pastoral Saúde" Parish run and owned health centre using alternative practices and medicine, especially those found in the forest. I don't think that the local doctor or pharmacist is too pleased.
Of course it is free!
