I was very impressed with a recent gathering of young people in the parish called "School of Faith". Here they come to learn more about their faith and many of these young peopel are the cathecists in their own communities. Some slept in the parish hall on Friday and Saturday nights. Of course while they were in town away from family and community they were able to go on the town with all the other young people. Some of the local women came along to cook the meals for them in the parish kitchen. {This kitchen seems to be in constant use for one good cause or another.} On the Sunday many of them thumbed a lift off me as I went out to the surrounding communities for Mass.
